Excel Level 3 covers how to use Excel for a variety of problem-solving tasks. Included are how to use Excel as a database; utilizing conditional formatting, data validation, the Data Table, outlining and subtotaling; Paste Special with calculations; consolidating; programmatic formulas including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, ISERROR and nested IF statements with AND and OR; and Pivot Tables and Scenarios.

RN to EMT Bridge

The RN to EMT bridge course is the fast-track way of allowing health care professionals who wish to advance their careers in EMS by working on a ground or air ambulance and taking their knowledge to where the action and treatment first begins. The health care professionals will be allowed to do online course work over a week and then be trained by other health care providers on EMS equipment before being checked off and testing for their national certification and home state licensure. Note: The hands-on skills check-off can only be done in the state of Arkansas. Download RN to EMT flyer.

The class will consist of an online course review over a period of one month of the EMT course at your pace with an online test at the end of each chapter. Then you will have a hands-on training the following week with other health care professionals in the same field. Ride along time will be provided for those who will need it after class or with prior arrangements.

Class dates for enrollment are open now. The deadline to register is January 13, 2024. This is a hybrid course that includes an online component and also an in-person component. The online portion of the class must be completed prior to the hands-on skills assessment. The hands-on skills assessment is scheduled for January 27-28 and will be held in Batesville, AR at Survival Flight, Inc.
Pre-requisites: Must be a current licensed healthcare professional with a valid Basic Life Support CPR certification card.
This course is a satellite program of the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Upon registration, you will be given access by the instructor to Pearson's MyLab Brady to begin the online portion of your coursework.

ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification
with Melissa Foster
The ServSafe® program provides food safety training for food service managers. In this course, you will earn the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager certification accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Instructor Melissa Foster has more than 35 years of food service experience. Ms. Foster is the Food Preparation Supervisor at UACCB, a Certified ServSafe® Instructor Proctor, Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional. Textbook and exam voucher are included in the cost. Deadline to register is October 4. A minimum of 3 registrants is required to run this class. For questions, call 870-612-2082.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate. This 3-hour course meets the requirements for healthcare professionals. Note: There is no minimum age requirement for this course, however, the student must be able to do compressions and demonstrate skills properly.

About Our Instructor:
Scott Phillips joined the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) in September 2024 as its first Director of Industry and Community Partnerships. In this role, Scott develops and manages a wide range of non-credit workforce training, community education, and youth programs, enhancing the college's community engagement and aligning its educational offerings with local workforce needs.
Prior to moving to Arkansas in early 2024, Scott retired from his role as Policy and Communications Chief at the Idaho Department of Lands, where he led transformative efforts in public outreach, policy development, and legislative advocacy. Over his tenure, he established the agency’s first Policy and Communications unit, expanding transparency and forging vital partnerships across Idaho’s natural resources sector. His earlier career also includes strategic communications and executive roles with the Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction, two Idaho State Controllers, and the Idaho Governor’s Office.
In this new chapter of his career, Scott is thrilled to focus on workforce training and community education, areas that allow him to work closely with local partners to “improve lives”—a mission that resonates deeply with him. His extensive experience in public relations, policy strategy, and community engagement continues to fuel his commitment to fostering opportunity and growth within the UACCB community.

Welding for Production Manufacturing
with Randall Warn
Welding for Production Manufacturing is a 24-hour training course focusing on the basic hand tools, power tools, and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) process used in local manufacturing facilities. Training includes basic metal preparation, welding different configurations in the flat position, machine set-up and maintenance, and welding quality self-inspection. The instructor is Randall Warn.
This class will run for 4 consecutive weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8 p.m.
The minimum age is 15 with parental/guardian consent. Welding helmet or hood, safety glasses and a welding jacket will be provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own supplies, i.e. work boots to protect feet, leather gloves, helmet or hood, thick cotton top, long sleeve jacket or shirt.
Financial Aid Scholarship Available For This Course:
This course is approved for an Arkansas Workforce Challenge (AWC) Scholarship award (up to $800) provided by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE). To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be 18 years of age or older, an Arkansas resident and must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

You will need to accept the offer for the award which covers your tuition 100%.
