Class B CDL - School Bus and Passenger Endorsement Driver Training

$800

with UACCB Driving Instructor

Calendar Jan 1, 2026

Drive with purpose

UACCB’s Class B CDL training program prepares you to earn the license required to drive a school bus, commercial passenger vehicle, or a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more.

This training is especially valuable for teachers, coaches, and school staff in rural districts who need the flexibility to transport students safely and legally on school buses. But the Class B CDL has wider value as well. It is commonly required for drivers of medium-duty commercial vehicles smaller than 18‑wheelers—such as box trucks used by delivery companies, construction firms, manufacturers, and municipal service providers.

Seats are limited, and enrollment is first-come, first-served, with priority given to those who already hold a Commercial Learner's Permit.

Act fast — seats are limited!

Why choose UACCB?

Focused training: Complete a 24-hour hybrid program that combines classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel practice.

  • Convenient schedule: Evening classes meet twice a week for four weeks, with additional driving practice until skills are mastered.
  • Affordable tuition: The Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship can fully cover most of the cost of the program for eligible students.
  • Personal support: Our team guides you step-by-step through permits, physicals, drug screening, and scholarship paperwork.

Orientation and enrollment support

The first step to enrolling in our CDL Class B course is meeting with our team at UACCB's Welcome Center or over the phone. During this one-on-one orientation meeting we'll answer questions and help you enroll.

Download the Drive with Purpose booklet – your guide to enrollment steps, financial aid, and training requirements.

Laser Engraving Garden Markers (Plant Stakes)

$25

with Scott Phillips

Calendar Feb 19, 2026 at 6 pm

Create custom garden markers that are as practical as they are personal. In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you’ll design and laser engrave durable plant tags and garden stakes using UACCB’s professional-grade laser engraver.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with laser engraving while learning essential safety practices, basic design principles, and how digital designs are translated into finished engraved products. This class also provides a great introduction for anyone interested in exploring laser engraving before investing in a machine of their own.

Designing for laser engraving

Participants will start by creating simple, clean designs using Canva, then learn how those designs are prepared and engraved using LightBurn—the industry-standard software for laser cutters and engravers.

What you’ll make and take home

By the end of class, you’ll take home a set of custom garden markers engraved with plant names, graphics, or your own creative touches—perfect for vegetable gardens, flower beds, or thoughtful handmade gifts.

This class is ideal for hobbyists, gardeners, and anyone curious about laser engraving. No prior design or laser experience is required.
