Heartsaver® CPR AED
with Cathy Shonk

Heartsaver® CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use. The training includes infant CPR and how to relieve choking in adults, children and infants. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training. Participants are asked to bring their cell phones to download the QCPR learner app and watch their progress as they practice CPR. A Heartsaver® CPR e-card will be issued upon successful completion of the course. The registration fee includes book and supplies.

ServSafe® Manager Certification Exam Re-Take
with Melissa Foster

Students can earn the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP). The purchase of an “Exam Access Code” is a unique, one-time use number which the examinee must enter into the computer to access the exam. Only Registered ServSafe® Instructors or Proctors may administer the ServSafe® Online Exam. Either proctors or examinees may purchase Exam Access Codes. Purchased Exam Access Codes will be emailed directly to the purchaser’s email address. Purchase of the ServSafe® Online Exam Voucher also includes administration, processing and a ServSafe® certificate upon successful completion of the exam. Note: Five business days' notice prior to the course starting date is required to withdraw and receive a full 100% refund. Deadline to register: April 13.
Things to know before you retest:
1. Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to exam time.
2. Bring to class your book, user ID and password.
3. If you unable to login, this may prevent you from taking the exam.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate. This course meets the requirements for healthcare professionals.

Instructor Hannah Keller Flanery has a background in journalism and years of experience as a freelance photographer. Bring your DSLR camera along with your owner’s manual for this one-session class.
First Responder

UACCB’s Community Education division will present a 48-hour First Responder hybrid course June 7-July 15. Course instruction will be presented in a blended format of 6 in-person classes from 5-9 p.m. Monday evenings and 6 On-Demand, online sessions that can be accessed at your convenience. Online sessions will allow you time to discuss your coursework, get all your questions answered, learn skills from the instructor(s) and chat with your peers. This course meets the National Emergency Medical Responder curriculum guidelines. Instructor, Ms. Jennifer Davidek, UACCB EMS Program Director. Textbook included. There are no pre-requisites required for this course. Deadline to register is May 26.
