At our precision agriculture Drone Pilot Academy, you’ll step into the world of high-flying drone technology—tools that are changing the way farmers grow crops and manage the land. Over three action-packed days, you’ll become the pilot, flying drones across fields, capturing aerial photos, and creating your first precision ag map.

Meet Our Instructor, Clint Howard
Clint Howard is an experienced aviation professional and educator with over two decades of military and civilian aviation expertise. Originally from the Batesville area, Clint enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1998, later commissioning as an officer in 2005. During his distinguished 20-year career, he served as a Reconnaissance Combat Systems Officer, instructor, evaluator, and Air Advisor to the Afghanistan Ministry of Defense. He retired as a Major in 2018 and returned to Batesville.
Clint holds FAA certifications as a Commercial Pilot and a Commercial Drone Operator. He is the owner and operator of Oakwood Aviation, a local aviation business, and is a licensed realtor. Passionate about inspiring the next generation, Clint teaches aviation classes at both Batesville High School and the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB). His teaching philosophy emphasizes helping students recognize and seize opportunities to achieve their highest potential.
Combining real-world experience with a commitment to education, Clint prepares students with the skills and knowledge to pursue careers in aviation, drone technology, and beyond.
