CDL - ELDT Online Theory, Range and Road Skills Check-Off

with Steven Huff

UACCB is offering a fast-track instructor-led course for the Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) Class A or Class B CDL licensing requirements.

  • Participants will need to purchase a JJ Keller Entry Level Driver Training Obtaining a CDL Student Manual (Product Code 50493).
  • Participants will be given access to online quizzes in order to complete the ELDT CDL Theory requirements.
  • Participants will have 30 days to complete the online Theory quizzes. Upon successful completion of the online Theory quizzes (>80%), participants will come to UACCB's campus to complete a 90-minute Range and Public Road skills check-off.

All participants must possess a Commerical Learner's Permit (CLP) prior to attempting the Range and Public Road skills check-off portion of the course. The assumption is that minimal to no hands-on training is needed for the Range and Public Road portion of this course. Participants needing initial or additional training should register for UACCB's 5-week Class A CDL training program at

Participants who fail any competencies during the Range or Public Road skills check-off exam may reattempt within 5 business days for an additional $150 fee. The Range and Public Road skills assessment will be examined according to ELDT standards (see link below). All hands-on driving will be performed in a UACCB-owned vehicle. Any exceptions must be approved by UACCB's Dean of Workforce Education. All participants will be required to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen prior to completing BTW (Behind the Wheel) driving in a UACCB-owned vehicle. UACCB will cover the cost of the DOT drug screen. An authorization form for the drug screen will be provided for the participant at the proper time.

Entry-Level Driver Training Minimum Federal Curricula Requirements

Upon registration, a UACCB staff member will contact you to set-up the participant's online training account.

Cancellations: To cancel a class, five (5) business days' notice prior to the course starting date is required to withdraw and receive a refund.
